We enjoyed our last procession of the season at Uckfield for the Bonfire Carol Service with festive banners and bling.

We will be holding our traditional Christmas party on Saturday 13th December in Colkins Mill Church. The party is free to local senior citizens and a lovely occasion to share some festive joy. Congratulations to Blush Beauty for winning the 2025 best bonfire display competition. 26 business took part and over 1,000 votes were cast, Blush Beauty winning the popular votes, followed by finalists The Middle House Kitchen and Deli and The Hair Studio, with Blackbird highly commended. What a talented and creative village!

After another fabulous bonfire celebration, we are already making plans and raising money for the next one. Tickets are available now for our popular fundraising quiz on Saturday 18th October. The last quiz sold out, so don’t delay. Tickets are available from our events page.

Come along tonight and enjoy the most spectacular and longest village procession in Sussex, at a mile long and burning 5,000 torches. Entertainment from 6pm, first procession starts at 7:15pm, finishing with the bonfire at 9:45pm, then fireworks at 10pm.

Pick up your copy of the souvenir Bonfire Celebrations Programme from High Street shops. It costs £3 and includes discount vouchers for local shops and businesses, all proceeds go towards funding the free event.

Thank you to all our lovely volunteers who helped finish assemble the 5,000 torches we need. With 20 helpers we made a record 1,065 torches in one session and can now take a well deserved rest. Well done to Ben Martin for organising us.
