The Bonfire Banners go up this weekend and soon guys will start appearing around the village as part of our new Build A Guy competition. Our High Street shops and businesses will also be unveiling their new bonfire window displays.

With three weeks until our Bonfire Celebrations on Saturday 19th, the Bonfire Society is monitoring the weather and government advice and putting in place extra safety measures. Various contingency plans have already been drawn up allowing for a variety of situations. Nearer the time we will review what activities can safely take place and publicise them accordingly in the village and to visiting societies that join our procession. We are also working with the Parish Council to get Fletching Street open in time.

We believe it would be confusing to publish any of these contingency plans until the situation is clearer so please be patient and continue to trust your Society to do what we do best: produce a safe and well organised event for our village. Thank you.
