Build-a-Guy Effigy Competition

THANK YOU TO ALL THE BUILDERS WHO ENTERED MAYFIELD BONFIRE SOCIETY'S BUILD-A-GUY EFFIGY COMPETITION FOR THE CHANCE TO SEE THEIR GUY ON THE TOP OF THE MAYFIELD BONFIRE 2026!

  • Congratulations to winners Milo and Theo Warner-James who’s fabulous guy will have the honour of being placed atop the Mayfield Bonfire, in pride of place, to be burnt on the Saturday evening celebrations, on the 19th September, at approximately 9.30pm.
  • Congratulations are also due to second place Artur and Ester Francis and third place Mayfield Pre-School.
  • Special recognition goes to our adult guy builders, Janet Crossley, Richard Field, Vince French and Tim Jones.
  • The second place and the special recognition guys will be placed around the foot of the Bonfire and also burnt along with the winning entry.
  • The winning guy received a certificate, the Starkey cup and a prize. All the runners up and special recognition guys also received prizes.
  • A huge thank you to M&L Pleasure Fairs for their generous donation of VIP tickets for the prizes.
