Your Boyes and Belles will be lighting our beacon as part of the village commemorations for the 80th anniversary of VE Day on Thursday 8th May. Join us on Court Meadow from 6:30pm for a free family event with a display of military vehicles, 1940s themed music, food and a licensed bar. The Beacon will be lit at 9:30pm by Sylvia Leeves.

The timetable for the night is as follows :

6.30pm – Bar and food stall open

Display of military vehicles

8.45pm – Mayfield band

9.00pm – Community Singing

9.28pm – Last Post played

9.29pm – One Minute Silence

9.30pm – Lighting of beacon by Sylvia Leeves

9.32pm – Community Singing: I Vow to Thee my Country

9.45pm – bar closes.
