Instead of our regular monthly drinks, we will be hosting our annual friends and members meeting in the Scout Hut on Wednesday 17th May from 7pm till 9pm. This will be an informal meeting, open to all, with refreshments and a fascinating talk by local historian Tim Cornish about the history of Mayfield’s martyrs and bonfires. Tim is the author of “Medieval Mayfield: Archbishops and Peasants” covers this history up to 1545 and is available from “Sew Inspired” in the High Street. Price £30 for a 330 page fully-illustrated hardback.
